With the NY Giants win over the Green Bay Packers 37-20 on Sunday, the NY Giants now advance to play the San Francisco 49ers this week on the road for the  NFC Championship! We at Sensibly Sweet want to wish the NY Giants the best of luck in this week’s game and the games to follow!

On August 3rd, my dad celebrated his 65th birthday, just 3 weeks after Derek Jeter hit 3,000 hits at Yankee Stadium! My dad, the die hard Yankee fan, was in complete awe that day. I was so happy that my dad was home that day to be able to see it! In honor of my dad’s 65th and Derek Jeter’s 3,000 hit, I created this birthday box just for him!

Last weekend we had the opportunity to create Lilly Pulitizer “inspired” shift dress cookie favors for a bridal shower. The shower took place at the Basking Ridge Country Club. We had so much fun creating these fun, flirty, summer dresses! The colors were hot pink, green and white and this is what we created!

Congrats Jeanine!

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of mine celebrated her bridal shower. I was asked to provide cookies and cupcakes for her shower, the only twist to it is my friend Lindsey…is highly allergic to gluten! This was my first attempt ever at gluten free cookies. The response we received was good, I would love to one day add gluten free sugar cookies to our menu, but for now I think I will keep Lindsey as my guinea pig!

lindsey-shower-2For my first attempt at gluten free cookies, the taste came out great! Just need to work on the dough itself not being as soft as it was!

A few weeks ago, we were a approached about Winnie the Pooh cookies. The mom-to-be’s baby shower was all Winnie the Pooh. We came across this great photo that we were able to scan onto a cookie for our client, which worked perfectly with her theme! Take a look at how cute the design looks!

Having our customers provide us with JPEG files of the design they are using or would like to use on a cookie is a great way of helping keep the cost down! Just a tip to keep in mind!

I apologize for the lack in blogging over the last few months, but it was because I took some time to prepare for my own wedding! I can’t believe how fast time has gone. The months leading up to the wedding were very exciting,  as we at Sensibly Sweet were doing our best to accommodate our clients (I will blog about those events soon!).

With a few weeks off, Chris and I got to enjoy time with family and friends that flew out from all over to be part of our special day! But of course, I had to make sure to also find time to make our cookie favors as well! =)

Being part of the Wedding Industry, I’ve become close with some of the most fabulous wedding vendors, that helped make our day FLAWLESS! Chris and I were married on April 9, 2011 at The Manor in West Orange, NJ. We had a fantastic day! The weather was perfect!

Anisa got married on October 23rd at the Park Avenue Club. We provided Anisa with 35 Fall leaf cookies for her rehearsal dinner at the Red Cat Restaurant in Clifton.

This photo was taken with my Blackberry since I forgot to bring my camera with me.

This photo was take by Josh Lynn (you can see the colors better in this one).

We were contacted back in February by Liz about creating something fun and unique for her wedding day. Since she got engaged on Superbowl Sunday she wanted to know how we could incorporate football cookies into her wedding. After sending Liz and Joe a couple of samples, this is what we came up with! She was recommended to us by the lovely ladies at Pampered Bride Weddings!

Liz and Joe got married on October 17th at the Lake Valhalla Country in Montville. Their tag reads “Here’s to Joe & Liz kicking off their lives together!”

We recently provided Keira with pink tiara cookie favors for her 5th birthday! Our tiara cookies are popular with our younger girls for their princess themed birthday parties! We made 60 tiaras which were delivered to Mt. Lakes.
