The theme was “Toy Story” for this 1st and 3rd birthday cake. We used light blue and white clouds on the top layer to recreate the wallpaper of Andy’s room, and a light brown for the bottom layer to recreate the bedroom floor of the movie. Atop the cake we created the “Toy Story” logo and joining in the festivities of this birthday cake was Mr. Potato Head, Hamm and the new characters for “Toy Story 3″ Three Peas in a pod.
The Flavors included vanilla with hazelnut buttercream. Happy 1st birthday to Lee and Happy 3rd birthday to Tyler!
We provided 120 butterfly cookies for a Sweet 16 in Teaneck, NJ. The theme of the Sweet 16 was an “Enchanted Forest.” The butterflies coordinated with the colors of the room. Different shades of greens, purples and yellows.

This is a fabulous and fun new way to ask the special ladies in your life to be part of your very special day! These cookies were made for a bridal luncheon for Make-up artist Adhari of Gloss and Shadow! We color coordinated the dresses to the color of the ladies dresses. We also provided her a our very sexy “Eva” dress to honor her mom!

We, at Sensibly Sweet want to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend! This weekend is supposed to be GORGEOUS!!!! Our weekend will consist of family, friends, BBQ’s and of course fireworks!!! Have a wonderful weekend! We will be returning on July 6th.
I’ve been a very bad blogger as of lately! I promise to be better. I want to recap on cookies that we did this past weekend for a Penn State graduate! We always have a lot of fun with graduation cookies. For this graduate, we provided dark blue graduation caps, the Penn State Nittany Lions logo, and “We are Penn State!” cookies. Take a look! Last Saturday we had the opportunity to work with the fabulous Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings in helping to create a “Sex & the City” themed bridal shower for her bride-to-be Ashley! This bridal shower was so much fun for us to work on! We provided Ashley with 70 cookie favors including zebra print stilettos, hot pink and black handbags, pink Cosmos, hot pink and black corsets and MAC lipsticks. Take a look at the cookie work! We want to thank Suzanne from CLB Photo for providing us with some fabulous professional shots!

We were recently asked if we could make custom Marine cookies for our client, Sandy. Her son was getting ready to leave for Boot Camp and she wanted a special way to celebrate and congratulate him. These are the cookies we created for her!

A few weeks ago we had the honor of providing Sophia with her very first birthday cake. This was a very special first birthday for us because the first time we worked with her mom she was pregnant with Sophia. That time we provided her with baby cookie favors for the arrival of Sophia, after that it was a birthday cake for her older sister, and then Sophia’s Christening cake, cookie favors and cupcakes.
This 3 tier star cake was designed for Sophia’s 1st birthday party. The cake decorations included silver stars, white polka dots and pink bows. We delivered the cake to Ravello’s in East Hanover, NJ.
We also provided the professionally designed balloon work and centerpieces for the party.
We enjoying decorating her party room and are truly honored to have been part of Sophia’s very special day!
This past weekend we celebrated Chris’ birthday, his family always does a big family get together as his birthday and his brother’s are 4 days apart. This year for his birthday he asked me to make him a chocolate cake with blackberry filling. This was an honor for me to do as his mom ALWAYS bakes the birthday cakes for the boys. Here’s the cake I made just for him!
This past weekend we had two baby showers, both of which were on Sunday. The first baby shower was for Marni Gold of Creative Custom Card Boxes. We had the pleasure of meeting her and her mom back in January at The Wedding Party at the Meadow Wood Manor. An amazing event designed by Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings and Lisa of A Touch of Elegance. For Marni we provided her with these 45 blue and yellow baby rattle favors! Congrats Marni!
The second baby shower took place at Francesco’s in Woodland Park. We provided the custom made centerpieces, professional balloon work, 40 chicky cookies, and our smallest cupcake stand that held 40 cupcakes. The flavors included red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream and our topper cake was chocolate with chocolate pudding and bananas.
