Last Saturday we had the opportunity to work with the fabulous Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings in helping to create a “Sex & the City” themed bridal shower for her bride-to-be Ashley! This bridal shower was so much fun for us to work on! We provided Ashley with 70 cookie favors including zebra print stilettos, hot pink and black handbags, pink Cosmos, hot pink and black corsets and MAC lipsticks. Take a look at the cookie work! We want to thank Suzanne from CLB Photo for providing us with some fabulous professional shots!

Ashley left us this fantastic note: “OMG—I LOVED the cookies!!!! They looked amazing and everyone keeps telling me how delicious they are. I just keep staring at them because they are soo adorable! Thank you so much!!!”

Happy Snowmaggedon 2.0 everyone! I decided to take a moment and catch up on some blogging on this very cold, snowy day. At the end of January The Knot’s newest edition of The Knot New Jersey came out, and we at Sensibly Sweet are very pleased that Niki and Mike’s wedding is featured in the latest edition! Niki and Mike were married back in May at the Liberty House. This wonderful event was designed and coordinated by Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings!

For all the new NJ Brides be sure to pick up a copy! It’s a fabulous issue with lots of different ideas to help plan your special day!

What a fabulous way to kick off 2010!
This past Sunday, the 24th, we had the pleasure of being part of “The Wedding Party” at The Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ. This event was planned to be an evening of posh style and glamour! Not your normal run of the mill bridal show! “The Wedding Party” was coordinated and designed by none other than the amazing Jenny Orsini from “Whose Wedding is it Anyway” and owner of Pampered Bride Weddings! The unbelievable floral decor and table designs were provided by Lisa from A Touch of Elegance florist.
This event was also sponsored by New Jersey Bride and NJwedding.com. 20% of the night’s proceeds was donated to Autism Speaks, a wonderful organization that provides awareness for Autism.

It was such an honor to be invited by Jenny Orsini to be part of such a wonderful event. Not only to showcase our cookies and cupcakes, but also to meet some fantastic brides and raise money for a wonderful cause!
Lori and Stephen were married back on October 3, 2009 at the wonderful Mallard Island Yacht Club in Manahwkin, NJ. Their lavish wedding was planned by none other then the AMAZING Jenny Orsini and her fabulous team at Pampered Bride Weddings! The wedding was straight up modern glam that we at Sensibly Sweet were so happy to be a part of by providing dog and cat cookie favors!
We want to thank David at The Studio Photographers for providing us with some fantastic photos of the wedding!

The personalized tags were a great touch that read:
“Dear friends and family,
With much thought and consideration, we have chosen a special way to say thank you for sharing our wedding day.
In lieu of a traditional wedding favor, we have made a donation in your honor to The American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The ASPCA is an organization that has a mission of making the world a better place for animals. It’s particularly involved concerning animals that are pets or are wild being held in captivity. We truly appreciate you being part of our special day!
Love,
Lori & Stephen

All the fabulous stationary for the wedding was provided by Jen at Jar of Ideas.

It was truly a pleasure working with Lori and Stephen on their very special day! We wish you both all the best and a lifetime of happiness!
Themed bachelorette parties is all the rage right now! What better way to tie in the theme of either a lingerie party or “Sex in the City” inspired party than with cookies?! We have the most adorable corsets, that would work perfectly for these types of parties! Or there is always, bras, panties and of course MARTINI glasses!

What a week this has been! I just had to take a moment to talk about “The Pink Veil Event” that we participated in yesterday. It was a fabulous event beautifully put together by Exquisite Bride in Millburn, NJ. We got to meet some fantastic brides, see some familiar faces, and got to know some remarkable vendors.
We met Dave from The Studio Photographers who photographed our wedding favors the night before in Mallard Island! It was a pleasure to meet him and his wife who were taking photos of the event.
I would like to thank Dianne from Colorblind Productions for letting me use some of her photos from yesterday’s event!

For the second year in a row, Pink Comb Salon (owned and operated by wedding hair stylist Michelle LoConte) is holding their annual “Combs For A Cure.” The event will be Sunday, October 11th from 12pm-4pm at the salon in Nutley, New Jersey. Pink Comb is working together with the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, Brides Against Breast Cancer and the Pink Envelope Project which all work together to fulfill dreams for metastatic breast cancer patients. We need your help!
They will be “raffling off” donations made by EVERYONE. They hope to get some press as well! Each donation will have a bowl next to it where attendants can “purchase” a ticket and try to “win” a price. All of the monies will go directly to the organization. Last year, they raised $1,287.00! Donations can be a gift certificate, a product, handmade jewelry, wedding related service, an arrangement of sorts, etc. etc. etc. any donation is graciously accepted! You do not need to be at the event in order to make the donation. They will take care of everything. They only ask that donations are made by October 4, 2009. Donations can be dropped off at the Salon in Nutley, NJ or they will be happy to come and pick them up!
