This past weekend we were asked by a client to do a cake, cupcake, cookie package for her daughter Sophia’s Christening. The cake is a vanilla cake with whip cream filling, layered with white fondant and pink and white blossoms. Congrats to Sophia of Succusanna, New Jersey! Here’s a peek of what we at Sensibly Sweet did!

Have a great weekend!!!

Ok, so I’m actaully going to write about an event we did back in November, since we just started this blog and the event we did was very exciting! Randy Polo, Director of Catering at the Park Avenue Club, whom my mom knows for years, asked us to participate in the celebration gala in honor of Philip Darrow on November 22, 2008. We were honored and touched that he thought of us! We gladly made cookie favors in shape of the red bow ties he always wore that became his trade mark. Philip Darrow was the Executive Director of the Park Avenue Club since 1998 until his passing on December 3, 2007. He left a legacy to all whose life he touched. Philip’s strength of character, true passion for living and humanity always defined his work. It has been an honor for us at Sensibly Sweet to be connected with the staff of The Park Avenue Club.

We had a wonderful time at The Villa in Moutain Lakes last night, following a personal invitation by John Fucci, the manager of The Villa, thank you John! It was wonderful meeting the owner, Robert Frungillo (who also owns The Castle at Skylands Manor), as well as meeting Linda Pergola from The Castle, Traci Zimmerman from the Marriott and bumping into our old friend, Randy Polo from the Park Avenue Club. We had so much fun socializing with these incredible people and eating amazing food! The place looks incredible since it was renovated five years ago by Robert Frungillo. Those of you looking for a FABULOUS banquet hall, check this place out, it’s out of this world!!!

We wanted to just wish everyone a “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated by the Irish and Irish at Heart in big cities and small towns alike with parades, “wearing of the green,” music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games.
Here’s for the “Luck o’ the Irish!

Enjoy the day!!!

Well, here I am….joining the “blogging” world. I still don’t know too much about it, but I figured I’d give it a try! =) For those of you who have worked with my mother and I, read our “About Us”, or just know us personally, you know this has been quite the journey! I’m so excited about all of it! We get to work on so many different things with each other, and we also get to work with some amazing people at the same time! =) Right now, one of the most amazing people we’ve been working with a lot lately is my friend and colleague Josh! He’s been doing all of our photography for our website, making it look FABULOUS!!!! Hopefully, this works and you can see some of his work! We shall see! =)

That’s all for now! Have a great weekend everyone!
